Deep Origin and BiosimAI join forces in merger to accelerate R&D

Buckle up, because we’re about to embark on a journey into the future of life sciences - the merger of Deep Origin and BiosimAI. This isn’t just a merger; it’s a fusion of innovation and intelligence. We’re talking about some of the sharpest scientific and engineering minds combining forces to take on the biggest challenges in tool development for drug discovery. All in service of the true superheroes - the scientists who work day and night on drug discovery AND getting those drugs to patients. Imagine the Avengers of biotech, but cooler and in lab coats.

On a more serious note, the strategic fusion of these two entities amplifies their collective capabilities, combining BiosimAI’s molecular simulation capabilities with Deep Origin’s computational infrastructure to enable R&D at unprecedented speed, scale, and accuracy. This merger expedites their common vision to extend longevity by accelerating the pace of drug discovery. As part of the merger, some of the proprietary BiosimAI tools will become available for users of the Deep Origin computational platform, democratizing access to molecular docking and dynamics.

"This merger adds an exciting new strength to Deep Origin that will enable our users to quickly bridge from biological discoveries to a drug candidate," said Michael Antonov, Founder and CEO of Deep Origin. "Together, we envision harnessing the power of advanced genetic insights and simulated biological models to enable scientists to create therapeutics faster and more cost effectively than ever before. There is a long road before we achieve that, but we are excited about our joint future."

Long-term, the merger will enable BiosimAI and Deep Origin to work together to develop predictive simulations of living systems for drug development - from atomic interactions to cellular physiology. Furthermore, the consolidation of talent and resources from Deep Origin and BiosimAI presents an opportunity for cross-disciplinary collaboration, driving a convergence of diverse perspectives, scientific disciplines, and technological expertise.

"We’ve always been focused on developing world-class simulation methods for drug discovery based on physics and AI, from the scale of atoms to cells. By joining forces with Deep Origin we are able to gain access to infrastructure and scientific insights to advance our drug discovery models," said Garegin Papoian, Founder and CEO of BiosimAI. "By integrating our respective strengths, we aim to accelerate the pace of innovation by enabling scientists to discover a drug for any human disease at a fraction of the current time and cost. We think there’s a future where in silico simulations are truly and holistically predictive of biology, preventing many of the costly experimental and clinical failures.”

This merger marks the beginning of achieving the joint vision of helping humanity live longer, healthier, and happier lives by untangling life sciences to reshape the future of drug discovery. This is only possible if we unlock more value for the scientific community - and that is what this merger is all about.
